Crockpot Apple Crisp Recipe
- 5 Large Apples
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup (can sub honey)
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 1 cup Oats
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour (can sub whole wheat)
- 4 tablespoons Room Temp Butter
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
|Take your apples and peel and slice them. Be sure not to slice your apples to thin keep them approx 1/2 inch thick or a little more for crock pot use. In a bowl add your apple slices along with 1/2 of cinnamon, 1/2 of nutmeg, maple syrup and lemon juice and mix well and then add to crock pot. |
|Now in a separate bowl add your oats, butter, sugar, flour, rest of cinnamon and nutmeg and combine well. Now spread this mixture evenly on top of the apples in your crock pot. Cook in crock pot on high for 2 hours and then on low for an additional 4 hours.|
